The Fox King

Woo Ming Jin Prepares new film “The Fox King”, Starring Indonesian Star Dian Sastrowardoyo, Idan Aedan.


Award-winning director Woo Ming Jin has completed principal photography on his latest film, “The Fox King”. The movie stars Indonesian superstar Dian Sastrowardoyo, known for her role in Netflix’s Cigarrete Girl, along with Idan Aedan who has starred in “Blood Flower” and “Mr. Midnight”, Amerul Affendi, Chew Kim Wah, and newcomer Hadi Putra.


Set in a coastal town in Malaysia in the early 2000s, “The Fox King” revolves around Ali and Amir, inseparable fraternal twins with a unique telepathic bond. The brothers are forced to fend for themselves when their father abandons them after remarrying a younger bride. The arrival of a new teacher, Lara, further complicates matters, and puts their brotherly bond to the test. 


The Fox King will have its world premiere at the 50th Toronto International Film Festival as part of the Centrepiece programme and its Asian premiere at the 30th Busan International Film Festival, A Window on Asian Cinema, a section that highlights the diverse styles and visions of Asian cinema through masterful works from acclaimed auteurs and emerging talents, capturing the spirit of contemporary Asian filmmaking.

The Fox king will have it's Asian premiere happening on these date.  Mark the date and come join the screening. Get ready to secure your seats starting 9 September, 14:00(KST) for public tickets sale
